Vent-Out Session

A safe, judgement-free space to release whatever you have been holding in. Sometimes you do not need advice — you need to be heard.

All services

Half an hour to say everything out loud to someone qualified, who won't take a side, won't be hurt by it, and won't bring it up later.

Sometimes you don't need a plan or a technique. You need to stop holding something. Telling friends and family has a cost — they have their own feelings about it, they remember, and they ask about it next week. This doesn't.

There's no expectation that you arrive with a topic or that anything gets resolved. Talking is the point.

Who this is for

  • You've been holding something in and there's nowhere safe to put it
  • You don't want advice, you want to be heard
  • Talking to the people around you would complicate things
  • You're not ready for ongoing therapy but need to say it to someone

What happens in a session

  1. 1

You talk. There's no format and no agenda to get through

  2. 2

Your psychologist listens properly and reflects back what they hear

  3. 3

Nothing is analysed unless you want it to be

  4. 4

The session ends when the time does, with no homework

What you might take from it

  • Relief that comes from saying something out loud for the first time
  • Hearing your own situation described back clearly
  • Less pressure on the people close to you
  • A sense of whether you'd like to look at any of it further

Good to know

This is a listening session, not ongoing therapy, and it isn't a crisis service. If what comes out suggests something worth working on properly, your psychologist will say so and explain what that would involve — with no pressure to book. If you're in crisis, please call Tele-MANAS on 14416 rather than waiting for an appointment.
