Career Counselling
A structured conversation about direction, choices and what actually fits you — for students deciding, and for anyone rethinking the work they do.
A structured conversation about direction — for students choosing, and for anyone further along who has started to wonder whether they chose right.
This isn't a personality quiz with a job title at the end. It's a proper look at what you're actually drawn to, what you're avoiding, whose expectations are in the room with you, and what a realistic next step looks like from where you're standing.
Career decisions are rarely only career decisions. Family pressure, fear of wasting time already spent, and the difficulty of disappointing people all tend to show up, and they're all fair to discuss here.
Who this is for
- You're choosing a stream, a course or a specialisation and can't decide
- You're doing work that doesn't fit and don't know what would
- Others have strong opinions about your future and you can't hear your own
- You want to change direction but the cost of starting again feels impossible
What happens in a session
- 1
You lay out the options as they currently stand, including the ones you've dismissed
- 2
Your psychologist helps separate what you want from what's expected of you
- 3
You look at strengths and interests honestly, including the inconvenient ones
- 4
You leave with a next step small enough to actually take
What you might take from it
- Your options set out clearly, with the real trade-offs named
- A clearer sense of which pressures are yours and which are borrowed
- Language for a conversation you need to have with family
- One concrete step, rather than a five-year plan
Good to know
This is psychological counselling about direction and decision-making, not a placement or admissions service — we don't arrange jobs, courses or applications. Some people find one session is enough to get unstuck; others use two or three across a decision.
